A clause-risk data engine.
Most legal tools check your contract against a frozen playbook — a general rule that goes stale the moment a court rules. ClauseDelta does something different: it tracks how the exact language of restrictive-covenant clauses actually performs in real cases, and keeps watching as the law moves. The result is a time-stamped record of which wording wins or loses, where and when — with every holding quoted verbatim from the opinion and cited to its source.
The free non-compete checker is the front door. Underneath it is a verified corpus of court-cited holdings and a developer API, with a change-alert tier for teams that need to know the moment a ruling moves the risk on wording like theirs.
Traceable, or it doesn't ship.
Primary sources only
Every holding comes from a published court opinion or official regulatory action — the primary record, not secondary commentary or a model's summary.
Verbatim or nothing
A deterministic provenance gate requires the quoted language to be an exact, character-for-character substring of the source before a holding is published. A model can't invent a quote and bank it. See the methodology →
Honest about gaps
Where we don't have a verified ruling we can quote, we say so plainly rather than guess. We'd rather show nothing than something we can't stand behind.
Yours to verify
Every published holding links back to the source opinion so you — or your counsel — can read it in full. Nothing here asks for your trust; everything invites your check.
Cedarstone Ventures LLC.
ClauseDelta is the flagship product of Cedarstone Ventures LLC, a US company registered in New Mexico (2025) and New Jersey (2026). We build decision-grade data products that link primary sources to real-world outcomes — starting with the clause-risk engine, where the primary source is the court record itself.
We're a lean, engineering-led operation, and we think that's a feature: the discipline that makes the data trustworthy is mechanical, not a matter of headcount. The provenance gate checks every quote the same way whether one holding lands or a thousand do. What we won't do is grow the corpus by loosening that gate.
Find a mistake? Tell us.
We stand behind every published holding — and we know a data product earns trust by how it handles being wrong, not by claiming it never is. If you find a holding whose quote doesn't match its cited opinion, or a citation that points to the wrong case, tell us and we will correct or pull it.
